Chimera Production

 

 

EuMMCR intends to offer a Chimera Production Service to generate mice from the EUCOMM ES cell resource upon request.

 

In the EUCOMM program we have established more than 250 chimeras and germ line transmissions (see Mice on Shelf) for quality control reasons and to support the European Mouse Disease Clinic (EUMODIC) and other European Commission funded projects with knock-out mouse lines. The overall success rate of germ line transmission of any given clone is currently about 60% based on experience of four participating centers. The prices for chimera production for external users will be published soon on this page.

 

EUCOMM will produce up to 320 mouse lines for the EUMODIC program. These mice are also available to the scientific community and can be obtained upon request (see Mice on Shelf).
